At Llanelli Scout Group AGM this year, Group Scout Leader Robert Davies recieved Scouts Higest award, the Silver Wolf.
Rob is a lifelong Scouter who has always done his very best for Scouting. He dedicates countless hours to supporting the volunteer team and ensuring that young people have the best possible opportunities to develop skills for life.
Behind the scenes, Rob is constantly working to improve the facilities at Llanelli Scout Hall. Whether it’s maintaining and upgrading the building, searching for grant funding, or building relationships with local businesses, his commitment is unwavering.
Most recently, Rob spearheaded the team’s vision to create a proposal for a new multi-purpose activity centre. Through his determination, the team secured the necessary funding and successfully brought the project to life. The new centre now provides not only Scouts but also other local community groups with a fantastic space to have fun, learn new skills, and come together. Rob’s dedication, leadership, and tireless effort continue to have left a lasting legacy that will benefit generations to come.
Rob recieved his award from Chief Volunteer for Wales Jon Williams.
Rob recently also recieved the Paul Harris Fellowship Award from Llanelli Rotary. This prestigious award given by Rotary clubs to recognise individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their communities. The award acknowledges individuals who embody Rotary’s core motto, “Service Above Self”.
